A resident perk became a reason to partner

Company: DogCentric Society Case Study: New Boarding & Daycare Clients, Retention

The opportunity

DogCentric Society needed to become easier for nearby dog owners to discover, and easier for prospective clients to take the next step with. The brief connected two challenges: local visibility and the experience someone encountered after finding the business.

My approach was to look beyond another social post. Where were these dog owners already receiving information, and what would make DogCentric useful enough to include?

The idea

I built the apartment-community pitch around a practical resident benefit: complimentary dog pickup and drop-off with booked daycare or boarding.

Rather than simply asking a property manager to promote a business, the offer gave them something relevant to share. It connected a convenience for residents with a marketing opportunity for DogCentric.

The creative decision was in the exchange itself: make the service easier to access, and give the partner a reason to introduce it.

The work

I researched nearby communities, developed property-specific outreach and created flyers and postcards with QR codes for attribution, prepared for distribution within Oak Hills. The materials connected a physical introduction with a digital next step rather than leaving print as a disconnected awareness tactic.

A QR scan was only the beginning of the customer journey. I also audited the website for SEO opportunities and mobile friction. Recommendations included clearer daycare and boarding navigation, consistent “Get Started” calls to action, a shorter inquiry form, more useful service information and a more coherent presentation across the website and social profiles.

To make the work actionable, I developed prioritized copy and implementation recommendations, established historical customer benchmarks and set up a framework for logging inquiry sources. The measurement approach connected marketing activity with inquiries, evaluations, paying clients and repeat business.

The result

Four apartment communities agreed to include DogCentric in their marketing in exchange for the complimentary pickup-and-drop-off offer.

Alongside those approvals, the project delivered neighborhood promotional materials and a practical roadmap for improving discovery, mobile usability and inquiry conversion. The immediate outcome was four approved routes into resident marketing, with the creative and measurement groundwork to support what came next.

Why it matters

The strongest idea was not another piece of content. It was a reason for the right communities to share the business—supported by creative, a clear next step and a way to learn from the response.
